Impartiality Policy

NDDB CALF Ltd ensures that activities of separate legal entities, which it forms a part of, have relationships; do not compromise the impartiality of its certification activities. The personnel of the separate legal entity will not be involved in the management of the certification body, the review, or the certification decision. Certification body has identified, analyzed and documented the possibilities for conflict of interests arising from the provision of certification activities, including any conflicts arising from its relationships, thereby minimizing or eliminating such threats to impartiality. If a relationship is found to be an unacceptable threat to impartiality, then certification shall not be provided.

The Certification activities shall be structured and managed so as to safeguard impartiality. NDDB CALF Ltd certification is not marketed or offered as linked with the activities of a consultancy organization. NDDB CALF Ltd doesn’t have any relationship with any consultancy organization which can be linked with NDDB CALF Ltd’s auditing and certification activities as prerequisite for getting certified in a simpler, easier, faster or economical way. NDDB CALF Ltd will not certify a System on which a client has received management system consultancy or internal audits where the relationship between the consultancy organization and NDDB CALF Ltd possesses an unacceptable threat to impartiality of its activities.

NDDB CALF Ltd takes penal actions against persons, any bodies or organizations which may be considered as threat to impartiality of its certification scheme.

Also, the certification body will not market our activities that are linked with the activities of an organization that provides consultancy. We will not state or imply that certification would be simpler, easier, faster or less expensive if a specified consultancy organization were used. If such a situation arises for a period of 2 years, personnel shall not be used to review or make a certification decision for a product for which they have provided consultancy. All personnel (either internal or external) or committees who could influence the certification activities shall act impartially. All personnel with a potential conflict of interest will be excluded from participating in the certification program in all manners.

Quality Policy

• NDDB CALF Ltd is impartial. Its inspection and certification are based on an objective assessment of relevant factors, following documented procedures and operating without undue influence from vested interests.
• The policies and procedures of NDDB CALF Ltd are non-discriminatory and their administration does not discriminate in any way against particular applicants. The services are open for all applicants whose activities fall within NDDB CALF Ltd’s scope of certification and will not be denied to any person due to discrimination because of race, colour, national origin, gender, religion, age, disability, political beliefs, sexual orientation,marital or family status. NDDB CALF Ltd is responsible for its decisions regarding granting, rejecting, maintaining, extending, suspending and withdrawing of certification. Certification decisions may not be delegated to an outside person or party.
• The staff of NDDB CALF Ltddoes not accept gifts, gratuity or items of value of any kind from eligible entities, third parties, neither directly nor indirectly. They will refrain from any practices, which could be considered as coercion. When bribery or coercion of personnel or a member of is suspected, NDDB CALF Ltd will take appropriate action against and report this situation to the relevant accreditation bodies.
• NDDB CALF Ltd’s services are reliable, timely, accurate, and client friendly.
• NDDB CALF Ltd will not be directly involved in sales, pricing or other direct commercial activities of trading with products or any other activities, which could compromise the confidentiality, objectivity, or impartiality of its certification process and decision-making. The certificate holder must be accountable for all sales of certified products. It will not provide advice to specific operators on how to set up the production system.
• The trade inquiries are non-discriminatory and referrals are open for all certified operators.
• NDDB CALF Ltd will inform operators on the requirements of standards without charging an additional fee .
• The staff of NDDB CALF Ltd is not allowed to give advice, directions or instructions to close non-conformities. NDDB CALF Ltd can provide advice to operators on what is needed to fulfil certification requirements, but it will not provide advice on HOW to fulfil the requirements. It will provide general information, training and advice through seminars and print media in a non-discriminatory manner.
• NDDB CALF Ltd provides sufficient financial and personnel resources to operate the certification system in a professional manner.

Subcontracted Activities

NDDB CALF Ltd may delegate specific tasks or tests to sub-contracted parties.  The quality manager will evaluate the competence of the subcontracted parties and propose it to the Head of the CB will give the final approval. Certification decisions may not be delegated to sub-contracted parties and will always remain the task of NDDB CALF Ltd.
