Key Purpose
The role holder is responsible for performing laboratory tests on the samples in the assigned testing area, and carrying out other associated activities in the testing department. Assisting in timely completion of the customer research projects, equipment/kit and method verification/validation, FSSAI projects etc., Coordinating activities of PTP as per of ISO 17043, Sample/Culture preparation for PT rounds, support in activities of Referral laboratory/National Reference Laboratory (NRL) and analysis of samples.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Conducting and coordinating equipment / method verifications as per customer / FSSAI requirements.
- Preparation of PT samples (microbial cultures) and assisting in conducting homogeneity and stability studies for the PT rounds.
- Handling and maintainance of Microbial Pure Cultures.
- Development of microbial culture lyophilization protocols
- Analysis of microbiological samples including media preparation.
- Assisting conducting PT programs by complying the requirements of ISO 17043.
- Support in marketing activities of Proficiency Testing.
- Assisting in documentation of National Reference Laboratory (NRL) and Referral laboratory (RL) work timely.
- Coordination for procurement of required equipment, consumables and its installation and timely calibration
- Support of QMS activities as per ISO 17043 & ISO 17025, EHS or any other applicable clauses of NABL, BIS, EIC, FSSAI, APEDA.
- Assisting in planning and execution of Internal Audit and Management Review Meetings.
- Coordinating trainings activities of NDDB CALF LTD.
- Assisting in Monthly audits, preparing report, follow up and NC closure.
- Support in testing activities as per need.
- Proper handling and maintenance of sophisticated equipment.
- Any other relevant work assigned by the supervisor.
Role Requirements
| Education | Post Graduate in Microbiology / Dairy Microbiology/ Food microbiology, Biotechnology or relevant field. |
| Experience | 01-02 years of experience (Food Testing Laboratory experience) |
| Remuneration | As per Industry standard |
| Professional Experience / Skills | • Basic Knowledge of procedures and techniques used microbial analysis of milk, food, feed, water etc. • Understanding of ISO standards, data compilation and statistical analysis • Good command on MS Office (Specifically excel and word) • Willingness to travel • Planning, coordination, result oriented, hardworking • Proactive, able to work amicably in team and efficiently carrying out the task timely as assigned by supervisor • Should follow rules of organization, ethical practices and safety norms |
