The state-of-the-art facility of NDDB CALF Ltd. offers Proficiency Testing (PT) services for chemical and microbiological testing of food and feed. We have obtained accreditation based on ISO 17043 from National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) to be a Proficiency testing provider.

The scope of accreditation covers several product categories like milk, milk products, oils, fat, cereals, pulses, ready-to-eat foods, fruits, vegetables, honey, spices, water, nutritional foods, infant milk substitute, cereal-based complimentary foods, dietary supplements, malted milk foods, nutraceutical foods, cattle feed and poultry feed. 

We provide PT service to different testing laboratories across the world. We are also providing customised PT services in various products for the regulatory authorities and customers as per their specific needs in a time-bound manner.

Proficiency testing is a very important QC tool for every testing laboratory and helps in determining the performance of individual laboratories for specific tests or measurements. It also gives confidence in the laboratory equipment, methods and staff, and also assures that lab is delivering the quality results demanded by customers.

In a proficiency test one or more well homogenised samples are sent to number of participating laboratories. Each laboratory measures and reports its results to the Proficiency Testing Provider. The results are compared with the assigned value for that measure and by using various statistical tools. Based on these, the participants are informed about their status.
